Edmund E. Robins, Sr. | Edmund E. Robins, Sr. was a former merchant seaman who started a small marine construction business. He purchased Rancocas Construction C. in Delanco to expand his business and renamed it Robins Shipbuilding & Welding. During WWII, the yard built steel-hulled ships for the US government. The yard sold in 1943. Robins later became an inspector for the US Army. Later still he became a civilian contractor for at McGuire AFB and constructed four of the Nike missile installations in the State of New Jersey. The family lived in Riverside and Delanco before moving to Moorestown (Oaklyn?). Ed died at age 71. | US Army | Civilian contract | WWII | ? |
